Over the last decade, we have delivered high-impact school/college sports engagement programmes in Waltham Forest, Newham and Tower Hamlets.
Many of the young people that we engage within schools, now attend our weekly outreach programmes and play for our football teams.

- Mentoring & Training
As a teacher and tutor at Leyton Sixth Form College, I work with many students who are coached by Salaam Peace through the college football team. I see the positive impact of their football training mirror their achievements in the classroom. The discipline, respect and self-confidence that Salaam Peace encourage help with my students’ academic progression and self-development too.
Both my daughters attend Edinburgh Primary School. Once a week they have a P.E. lesson led by Salaam Peace. Their confidence in sport and physical activity has blossomed. Since January they have also been attending a girls’ sports session in Walthamstow. This session is led by 3 inspirational young women who are role models for my daughters as well as the other girls in the group. These 3 young leaders epitomise everything wonderful about Salaam Peace –they are hardworking, inspiring, enthusiastic, and generous with their time.
We feel very fortunate to have Salaam Peace as a partner. We are both value and community-led institutions who are determined to improve the life chances of all young people in Waltham Forest and beyond. A focus on developing young people holistically is prioritised, equipping them with life skills such as determination, empathy and resilience. Not only do these enable them to cope with the many challenges that life requires, it also helps them develop into kind and generous members of our society who give back lots to their communities.
